Hot Topic ~ Should Students Play Games (software) in school?

This is a very HOT topic in my school. Recently, we have added NOOKs into our tech learning in our schools. Teachers are required to train if they would like to have these devices in their classrooms. Students can read purchased books, library books (both public and school library) and have apps. I do see quite a bit of gaming with this devices...with that said, most of the gaming is educational based. I see no harm for children to learn in this manner. I think "playing" is just one of the many ways children learn. As long as it is done in moderation and with respect to learn, I am game on "gaming" in the classroom.

    Hi, I use I Pad and I think that as long as it is more educational than games it is ok to use in the classroom. That is awesome you get to use Nooks in your school. Good Luck
